The benefits of HAPPY HEARTS WINGS
1. Small and charming
The wings are about 3 inches long, which makes them just about the perfect size to put on a pin or keychain. They are small enough to be versatile and can be used to accent other jewelry pieces or items you may have.
2. Versatile
These wings are easy enough to use either alone or in a stack with other necklaces or bracelets, but they can also be used as earrings (for example). The wings have holes through which you can put your favorite earring post. You can also attach them as brooches or rings if you choose so that they serve double duty.
3. Unique and fun
The wings have a distressed look because they have been painted over, which makes them have dimensionality and depth. They are made with polymer clay such as Bakelite or Resin to give it the vintage feel that I wanted. The wings can be made in a variety of sizes, so choose the one you would like to make according to the size of the chain you are using. The wings pictured above are approximately 2 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide (55mm x 35mm).
4. Durable
Polymer clay is quite durable at about 50 times normal human skin contact. Bakelite is even stronger and more durable, having a hardness that is about three times that of glass. Resin is about 30% more durable than Bakelite.
5. Safe and environmentally friendly
The resin used in Happy Hearts Wings is non-toxic, so it is safe for children to wear them as jewelry pieces. The metal chain that you can use with the wings for additional security is a copper-plated lead-free metal alloy. You can also choose whatever chain type you want such as silver or gold, whichever will work best for you or the person you are giving it to as a gift.
